I will always associate his voice with Sunday football. Grew up listening to him and Madden on Fox.

I grew up listening to him and Madden on CBS. And still remember an interview with him, after Fox got the NFL broadcast. He was asked if he had any reservations about FOX, and he said, oh, I will miss the Masters most of all.

My favorite of all time.

He looked like he was in rough shape the past few years.

The guy was born with his right foot facing backwards. The doctors had to surgically correct that, and he became a junior tennis champion, and a college and pro football player. Would he have become an announcer if he hadn't been a well-known player? Who knows? , Pat.
