It’s been around for a few years, but has anyone else noticed how much more every show or commercial is about gambling this week? Get Up had their gambling guy on panels breaking down odds after the analyst would talk. Radio had multiple segments on parlays. GMFB showed DraftKing odds on a game like it was a stat and debated if it was too big or not.
It’s nauseating!

There is a difference when gambling is localized and when it is being pushed to the masses.
Similar to alcohol and smoking, both se unhealthy obviously, but wee vices that if under control were manageable. Once their marketing went absurd, it led to many of the issues we now face.
For example, young adults (14-16) in Europe often have a glass of wine with their dinner at home with their parents. They don’t develop binge drinking problems, and alcohol was advertised very differently over there.
In the US, it was banned for under 21, yet glorified and advertised like crazy as living up life. You couldn’t watch a high school movie where alcohol fueled parties were shown as some amazing experience. That was outright advertising and pushing it.
In the end, kids aren’t drinking alcohol or smoking like before, so the new vices to force on them is gambling and social media influencing.
This rot is going to ruin society with the quickness; and too an extent already has.

I guess at least in the Roman times they didn't put babies on the front line of the wars. Now we just bomb them with everyone else.

It isn’t, but its rapid decline further is clearly evident, and it’s not just the US/West, mind you. It’s the entire world.

It wasn’t that long ago that you could just Google your team, hit news and sort by date, and read as many articles about your last or upcoming game as you wanted.
Now you do that and you can’t find a real article among the gambling related shite.

this is due to all writing staffs being replaced with AI honestly.
The AI just knows that people search the gambling stuff more especially compared to people looking for news articles about smaller name teams.
it isn't hard to find articles for big schools like LSU
