This is amazing, it really is a joke how bad these teams are.
I have NEVER seen the NFL like this.
its horrible. And its like 5 or 6 teams that are that bad. Like 2 years ago when New England was 28 point favorites over some teams. Vegas said yesterday was the single worst day for them ever.
The public tends to always bet the favorites. And yesterday the public was on the favorites like 90%. sickkkkk sickkkkk shite.

And another one of those teams is playing tonight, the Redskins. I have a feeling the world is gonna be on the Eagles.
Its gonna be either a very good night for bookies....or a very bad night. Do you agree?

On the other side of it there are a lot of good teams making the bd teams seem worse. I don't recall there ever being three undefeated teams left by the 8th week of the season before

Yeah 89% on the Eagles, 11% on the Skins. Foryears I've been a big proponent of fading the public, but this year has been un-real. All big favorites covered yesterday and 95% of the public was on Georgia Tech on Sturday and they covered. Real bad tome for sports books, but I'm loving it!!

quote:I had this precise conversation during the early games yesterday with a guy in my fantasy football league. I said this year had more bad teams that were worse than prior years. He disagreed. He cited examples of the Bucs of old, the 1-15 Cowboys, the Colts before Peyton and the Cardinals for years. I agree that there is a cycle in the NFL--the Patriots suck then win a Superbowl and become a dynasty (remember they came out of no where in 2001), the Bucs win a Superbowl and then fade into mediocrity. Just a couple of years ago, I wouldn't even draft (in fantasy) anyone on the Eagles team--not even the kicker.
I have NEVER seen the NFL like this.
Now back to the original point--sportsbooks. I won my share of money on NFL (and college) games when I was in Vegas this year. But there were plenty of guys there who didn't. The Vegas sports books have been rolling in the dough year after year. I have no sympathy if they're down for one season. In case no one has noticed, the entire country has had a down year over the past 12 months.

Agreed I have no sympathy for the bookies I hope they all get taken down this year. They didn't have me bitching when I couldn't hit any bets years ago. I am really enjoying taking sportsbook.coms money. I take them for a couple hundred during the week and then they have to give me 10% on my thousand dollar deposits on mnday
