Yeah I think most expected Andrew Luck to be really good right away and he's been exactly that.

Andy Dalton

jury is still out IMHO

I remember the brees signing and thinking we had just signed a guy who best case was going to be a game manager...I'd say I was a little off

I know we mock matt ryan a good bit here, but I laughed when the falcons drafted him to be their new franchise QB. He's been worlds better than I expected

Yup. Didn't think he had the accuracy or pocket presence to be successful in the NFL. Both are still not great but he makes up for it with his athleticism.

Agreed - I thought Cam would be a colossal bust from day one because I thought he'd have an extremely difficult time adjusting to NFL offensive schematics and terminology, NFL defensive speed, and the fact that he can't just run out-physical people like he did at Auburn.

Someone doesn't watch much football

But to the OP I'd say Dalton or Flacco

Tom Brady when he replaced Bledsoe (sp)

I know it was a long time ago and hindsight is always 20/20, but I thought Brady would be decent, or rather I should say that I wasn't surprised when he came in and did well in 2001 when Bledsoe went down.

Maybe it's because I watched him destroy a really good Hogs team in the Citrus Bowl on NYD in '99, but I knew at the time that Brady was a very good college QB who just got overlooked several times and had to deal with the Drew Henson crap. The guy threw it all over us in the Citrus Bowl, then came back again next year and beat Alabama in the Orange Bowl after leading Michigan to a Big Ten title.
