Sure, sure, It's I-AA but there are a few that keep up with it around here and do dab a little and know a little about the SLC......

McNeese St. is picked by the Coaches and SID's to claim their 13th SLC title. Sam Houston St. picked 2nd and 3rd. Rhett Bomar is back, hence the high pick. McNeese also has 8 first team All SLC First team picks and a total of 17 on the rest of the list.

...and of course to close.....

McNeese have any incoming freshmen who might make an impact early?

Two of them from what I understand. For the most part, they tend to redshirt as many as possible. But RB being a little thin, Bubba Van Taylor (St. Thomas More) is coming in from a JC and should play. Maybe Champlain Babin from Donaldsonville.

I don't know of any other position that they are thin enough to play a true freshman at the moment unless someone goes down with an injury.

Yeah, he might be a hair taller actually. I think 6'6.5". They're doing maxes this week. Yesterday he ran 5.2 forty, and 31" vertical (one inch from the school record for OL), and over 8.8 for broad jump (I think).

Just hope a RB steps up and takes reigns and becomes dominant, I think they'll be alright.

It'll probably be a steady mix. The offense won't be an issue. The D, eh?

I think Vaalyn and Lighten have the DT spots shored up, along with Lundy. Nelson is a beast and I'm not really worried about the secondary. At least Walker isn't back there.

Hope so. But don't get me wrong. Not sure who I like more. Jones or Pendland.

Looking forward to making the trip to Lake Charles for the McNeese-Nicholls State football. Say what you want but the Southland Conference is always competitive till the very end.

Yeah, but I'm driving. Road trip with 4 other people. So the gas won't be too bad.

but how well did McNeese do against ULL in other sports. Everyone knows McNeese is more well known for football but ULL had many decent baseball and basketball teams

Boooo.Boooo. Sounds like you're a fan of a similar program. A whipping post that is.
