11.6.1 doesn't mention anything about coaches that I can see.
i literally wrote (11.7.1) in my original post, which is in the grayed section. it delineates what a coach is
how TF can buckeyes be so retarded?

Correct is was a true rivalry that decided who went to the rose bowl… but from 2000 till 2023 has dominated Michigan with some of the most embarrassing scores in Michigan history. The last two years have been impressive but OSU is more battle tested and Michigan will be distracted the rest of the year. All this cheating stuff will take its toll.

My point is that how a coach is defined had no bearing if it's not used in the off campus in person scouting rule. Which it's not.
11.6.1 plainly states it cannot be done and doesn't reference who can't do it. The school or any affiliates can't do it. They certainly can't use recordings from it, because that is explicitly against the rules as well.
It's plain as day what the rule states and intends to state

if a random person who is NOT employed by any university (whether it's Connor Stalions friend, a fan, a scout, etc) wants to go to a game and record the sideline of the game, and give the video to a member of the coaching staff, that is NOT explicitly prohibited.
that's what i'm saying. all coaches are prohibited from attending games of future opponents and recording them. coach defined as someone who is employed or receives benefits from that university
however, there's no rule that states if the video was recorded by someone else, a paid coach is NOT allowed to use that film. that's it

We broke you. No wonder y'all ducked us and then started cheating.

I don’t know about that. No doubt he’s better than Jimmy Franklin.

We aren't talking about that.
What occurred was a Michigan coach collaborated to have off campus in person scouting performed and recordings provided to him.
That's against rule 11.6.1. It states that that type of scouting shall not be done. By anyone. If they intended to allow 3rd parties to do this scouting, the rule would state that. Later in the exceptions, they use the term institutional staff. They intentionally didn't use that term for 11.6.1
It's in violation to the letter of the rules. The spirit or intent of the law clearly wouldn't allow this and any rational person would agree with that. But alas...

no one. we'll be eating crow if we don't handle pennst and beat osu.
it's the manner we've beaten everyone. all the games are over in the third quarter. pretty much the same roster as last year, just a year older.

I'm not happy that you dirtbags stained The Game with three straight forfeits.

technically, there's no violation

easily defensible either way.

So it's against the rules to record signals during the game you're playing, but not against the rules to record other teams' games and essentially use that footage during your game against them?
You honestly believe that?

Yeah, I can't have a rational conversation with people that actually think that.
Have a good night.

I give people too much credit on this site as a whole.
I have to remind myself that we walk among complete imbeciles every day in life and those people also have the internet

Michigan only has to worry about 1 game every year. It's basic math.
