also the way dana said in his stream yesterday that "he thinks he did all he can do at 145" didnt seem right

Illia supposedly can't make 145 weight anymore. That's why he relented the title instead of keep it and go fight Islam as champ. Vs champ, because he was never going back down to 145.

As for Islam vs Charles II, that fight will never happen. Charles doesn't want to fight Islam ever again. He has repedetly) repeatedly turned him down again.

Dana is also probably looking for new blood in the LW division. Illia gives that because all the contenders have all fought each other multiple times. I also think he hates Armon and never wants to deal with his bullshite ever again in a title fight. Injection of Illia moves Tsarukean down the ladder.

I don’t think Olivera believes he can beat Islam. After pulling out on the rematch, He hasn’t really push for a 2nd chance at Makhachev.

I don't really follow them outside of the fights so I don't know how much talking one needs to do in order to make it know he wants the fight, but he did say he wanted a rematch. Can he beat him? That's a tough task, but I think he has earned a rematch and I think that Olivera feels like he can beat him. You don't get to the level he got to/is at and not think you could beat anybody. Could be wrong though, only he would know that.

Islam vs Charles next makes the most sense

Dana said Tsarukyan doesn’t automatically get another title shot, so who does he fight? Winner of Gaethje/Hooker?

Topuria just beat Holloway, so Poirier is the only one that makes sense for him if he’s not fighting Arman or Oliviera

Maybe he doesn't want to cut down to 145, fine.

But him saying that he did all he needs to do and cemented his legacy at featherweight is BS.

Buddy, his team said Oliviera or Poirier. He was on record talking about how Poirier is a dog & would be a great fight.

You’ve said he’s not fighting him multiple times & that you’ve heard a name that no one else has mentioned. Go ahead & tell us. We’re all just speculating, but you act like you know something we don’t

You posted the names on the other thread and Topuria wasn't one

I think the poirier fight makes alot of sense for him and for poirier.

there are alot of contenders in that division. charles could get the shot, tsarukyan definitely is in the mix, if hooker comes out and finishes gaethje with another impressive gritty performance could be in the mix depending on location of the fight, likewise gaethje could do the same.

I definitely dont think that there is a guarantee that topuria will get the fight.

Yes for Dustin’s next fight I’ve seen a list of
-Nate Diaz
-Conor McGregor (not happening)
-Volkanovski (not happening)
-Gaethje (not happening)
-Holloway
-Oliviera
-Covington (not happening)
I’ve also added Cerrone & Topuria, but you still say it’s a different name

No, I'm assuming it's one of the names he said from the list that was read off in the video.. sorry for any confusion

The obvious one would be Poirier vs Holloway - technically the 4 man BMF tournament between those two & Gaethje/Hooker but assuming he wins I don’t see Poirier doing another fight after New Orleans

Holloway vs Oliviera has also been rumored, so that leaves Diaz.

I’d still rather see Topuria, but many here seem to think he gets Islam next

the max fight doesnt make sense to me. he already beat max twice at both 145 and 155. the 2nd fight was unanimous 49 46 on the cards and the first fight dustin submitted him.

id rather see him bang it out with michael johnson to get that one back vs fight max again.

I like the topuria fight. lets find out if the young stud fighter got that dog in him and can put out a legend in his retirement fight. if dustin wins then he can add another champ to his legacy and he leaves the ufc on a tremendous win. if he loses then he rightfully adds to topurias legacy, that is how the game usually goes.

UFC isnt going to book a fight with diaz or conor, neither guy can be trusted to show up for the fight. if you are going to book dustins last fight it has to be with someone that is gonna show up with no bs.

poirier already won that tournament.
1-1 vs gaethje
2-0 vs max
1-0 vs hooker

True but the original proposed 4 man tournament would’ve been 3 fights in 1 night
crazy idea that would probably never work

An interesting name missing from your list:

Dan Ige vs Sean Woodson

This is an exciting matchup feeding Ige to the up-and-coming Woodson. We'll see if Woodson is ready to level up.

Yeah that’s why I posted the tweet with all the booked fights. Very stacked card with young hungry guys.

Woodson I believe is gonna be too tall, long and dynamic for ige.Woodson has 7 inches of height and 7 of reach over dan. Dan is also 1-3 in his last 4. Dan always comes to fight but wood son is just too good

Also prates vs Neal is gonna be a good one.

Even the womens fights should be good xianon vs jirandaroba

What you say?

You mean 3?

Islam says Topuria needs to prove himself at lightweight he doesn’t want to beat up on another small guy
