I'm not sure what to answer first, but my point about basketball defense is that it always has and always will boil down to whether you defend the man in front of you, or who you can double team. You can change who you double, but I feel like it's just a reaction to the player types in the league right now. You pick your poison... But you always have.

My God, do you even Triangle bro?
You have Mr. Quip all evening, but you have really stepped in it on this one.

I don't think you're able to realize what you're saying is correct, but there are many more complex/sophisticated ways to do that.
What are your thoughts on the corner 3 in today's game vs 1990?

Oh you think it's funny too, but don't know the tenets of the triangle?

My God, do you even Triangle bro?
You gonna post some evidence, ever?

Do you realize that the triangle isn't an effective offense in today's game because of the way defenses play now?
I bet you didn't realize that when you brought itup, but I'm sure you'll make something up to cover for it with zero evidence whatsoever.

Quick, go read about the Triangle offense and who touches the ball first, so you can make another snazzy quip

Quick, go read about the Triangle offense and who touches the ball first, so you can make another snazzy quip
Then explain why that offense is virtually extinct in today's much different defensive schemes
I'll hold my breathe and wait for you to post your actual evidence. You kept saying our side wouldn't post evidence, it's your turn. I've only asked you 5 times now.

It was obviously in response to the snarky comment by shelia about Jordan not putting the ball in the hands of the big man in his offenses of the past
Posted on 2/29/16 at 8:59 pm to shel311
You mentioned Wellington, Cartwright, and Longley when I said the Jordan would have been more effective today without having to run an offense through big men, which even he did back the .

Bruh, today's NBA defenses aren't any more sophisticated than high school defenses!!!

Post your convincing evidence.
Thanks

I'm flabbergasted, I can't even front right now

Not an opinion. Not an unproven superlative like more "sophisticated", it's a fact. The triangle ran through the big man, with the big man in the post preferably being the first touch in the set.
GFY.

Watch this
Then watch any game that's on tonight or tomorrow.
That's all you need. If you don't see the obvious differences in complexities, this discussion is not suitable for you.
It's that easy for you to see the light.

I love the idea that defensive rule changes change drastically but not a single team would try to employ one single solitary new wrinkle to take advantage of the major changes.
I also love the idea that this is the height of basketball with completely different rules than high school, but the defensive schemes are exactly the same, no more difficult than high school.
Magical!!!
