Use teammates 28”, keep swinging 29 in practice and cage etc. I’m pretty confident there’s some underlying mechanical issues going on (along with most 11 year olds) that can and also should be the focus moving forward. I’ve learned a lot of lessons the hard ways over the years.

Forget everything I've said previously--don't take anything into account except which bat is "better" for overall performance. The Marruci Echo DMND Alloy -12 or the Mizuno 2024 Jennie Finch -13 Alloy?
ETA--or the DeMarini Uprising Fastpitch Bat (-12)?

you're not going to find much performance difference with those options. Aside from the drop difference of one bat, they are all near equals of a performance bat. Those were the days when you asked your kid which colors she likes best.
my daughter used a finch bat back in the days before i hopped her into a 2 piece mizuno which was a bit too long and heavy for a short time period for her.

Look!
SidelineSwap app is where you want to be.
I buy and sell there all the time.
Cheaper brand new bats and gloves. A2000, A2K, Heart of the Hyde, etc
I am looking into the 2025 Easton Ghost Unlimited.
My girl is in 10U and has swung 30 inch drop 11 Demarini CF well.
Alternatively, justbats.com is an option to purchase as well.

i browse sideline all the time. sold stuff too. its a decent option looking for preowned stuff. new not so much. also, beware of expecting warranties when buying new from places like that.

The highlighted was brand new first base mitt.
The other was a November GOTM that I got for myself.

Man, I can't go to a sporting goods store without trying on an A2000. I found a color I really liked at Academy and almost pulled the trigger, but I don't have anybody I could throw with enough to break it in.
I did discover JustBats--some good stuff on there. But I just talked to my daughter and she wants to stick with using the 29" Echo Alloy at practice and the cage and use her friend's 28" in games till she's ready. She barreled one up between short and 3rd for a 2 RBI single yesterday, so she doesn't want to change anything. So Chad, you were right all along. I figured you were, but was feeling pressure because for anything to get in before this weekend, I'd had to have ordered it today.
Jesus Christ, yesterday was brutal. They got run-ruled by a team Friday night 14-2 in 4 innings. Beat a terrible team Saturday, then had to play the same team from Friday yesterday at 12:30. Had to get there at 11:15. Ballpark was only about 30 minutes from home, so I assumed we'd take our arse whooping, and I'd be home to see most of the CWS game. We fricked around and won like 5-3 and had to play them again for the championship. There was a 1 hour and 15 minute time limit during the regular season, so we never finished a game. I didn't even know how many we played. Apparently, it's 5.
And either our coaches couldn't' read the bracket or they just assumed we would lose that 1st game, so we didn't know there'd be a 2nd game until 2 hours into the 1st. Gave us an hour break in between games. Got down 6-0 in the 4th, then came back and walked it off in the bottom of the 5th and won the damn thing. Was worth it with how how excited the girls were, but we were there from 11:30 to 7:15. 97 degrees and no shade. And it was solid turf--somebody said it was like 116 on the field. So we were all exhausted. Worth it, just wish I had prepared a little better. Maybe brought a chair instead of getting sweaty bleacher arse that is still itching. Oh well. Lesson learned.

I went to a tournament and our girls got absolutely smoked. When we hit it into the outfield it is a usually guaranteed double. But not against this team. They were getting routine outs there and even did a diving catch. They were basically a world's apart from ours. I question whether I'm cut out to be a softball dad because Lord I dont want to join a team that practices year around. The sun sux to boot..

My boys just won one of the World Series at the Cal Ripken Experience in Pigeon Forge
Highly, highly recommend going there. Can’t say enough nice things about the whole experience.

Just borrow the rich kids bats to hit until she finds one she likes.
