Bob Kravitz is WTHR (Indianapolis) columnist, so he seems credible.

I'm told at one point the officials took a ball out of play and weighed it. Should hear more tomorrow on this subject.

Didn't have a chance to talk to colts officials about this. They were long gone when I heard this.

Nobody is suggesting this is why the colts lost obviously. They were manhandled.

Told if a league investigation confirms deflated footballs it will result in lost draft picks. Stay tuned.

Anyone else heard anything?

I don't know the validity but I will say Bob Kravitz is probably the biggest piece of shite in journalism. Even Colts fans hate him.

Lol.

I doubt anything comes of this. Officials review the footballs before the game anyways from what I understand.

Wasn't aware of that.

With the Patriots "reputation" though, it wouldn't surprise me either if they did this.

I'd give up a couple of draft picks to win a Super Bowl.

Fwiw, it's only the Colts radio guy running with this so far, and Rodgers got busted over inflating balls a couple of years ago.

How much would a slightly under inflated football weigh as compared to an inflated one?

Would a ball's weight change based on its level of inflation?

This sounds dumb.

Is deflating the football an advantage or a disadvantage?

ETA:
quote:

Deflated footballs are easier to throw and catch, especially in the stormy conditions that threatened the area. Officials caught USC illegally deflating footballs in 2012, and fined the school. Kravitz says officials took a ball out of play to weigh it, and that if the Patriots are found guilty of tampering with the balls they will lose draft picks—similar to the team's punishment for 2007's Spygate.

This story seems really lame though - if you ain't cheating you ain't trying IMO. Stuff like this (and worse) has gone on in pro sports for decades.

If it helps passing and catching why was Luck 12-33?

Indy butthurt. The footballs are not why they lost by 38 points.
