Nevermind, Green Bay is TINY. No wonder they're so loyal. They know if they didn't sell out every game they would lose the franchise.

The Packers are the only non-profit, community-owned major league professional sports team in the United States.

Proper city size is irrelevant - much better to look at the MSA.

are we talking size of people or size of actual land? wouldn't new orleans be one of the smallest in terms of land?

True. San Antonio is the 3rd biggest city in Texas. City limits alone have 1.3 mil. That's just as big as a lot of cities Metro Areas.lol.

Depends on what exactly you consider Orlando

eta: I'm guessing you're only talking about downtown Orlando

Also surprised to see San Antonio so low. I thought they were top 10 for population in the US?

They are...you must be looking at the wrong numbers. They have over a mil.

I'm not talking about the surrounding suburbs or theme parks. I was just talking about the city itself. I didn't think it'd be that small.

Memphis is like in the top 15-20 pop.-wise. OKC is moving on up, and Sacto has 100K on NOLA.

Well it takes at least 15-20 minutes just to get to downtown from the ucf area, and that's with absolutely no traffic at 3am using epass

Orlando city proper isn't even in the top 100 for population.

Here are the answers for city proper, which I disagree with. I think MSA is better, but yeah:

NBA-
Jazz - 181,698 in Salt Lake City
Magic - 230,519 in Orlando

NFL-
Packers - 101,025
Bills - 270,919

MLB-
Pirates - 316,718

The Nets present an interesting situation. Because they aren't tied to any major city given that their name is NJ.

And teams that play way off base, like the Coyotes and Cardinals should be omitted.

They are in Miami.

I meant that the Nets don't even have any major city in NEW JERSEY. Their base is all in a city that isn't even in their home state. You could argue Newark...but they are based in East Rutherford, which is a tiny community sandwiched in all these gigantic metro areas.

You must've been walking.
The city of orlando isn't big, orange county is big. That applies to most metro areas though.
