As a Saints fan this does give me concern. Sure he is a little long in the tooth, but he would give Atl a recieving threat out of the backfield while being a very good power back.

Not worried in the least bit, from washed up back to another, go head ATL..

Does for me too, cause it seems Jackson gives the Saints a headache everytime they play.

Jesus, how stupid is mike smith? Hey genius, your team is really good with a powerful but quick runner. You know, like the guy already on your team.

Who exactly are you talking about? Rogers? I don't see anything powerful about him.

Curious to whom that might be? Atlanta's backs are shite. Question though, ivory is a rfa correct? Unless tendered by NO he is welcome to receive offers from other teams yet the saints have a chance to match that offer? Atlanta would be a pretty sweet landing place for him.

He is not that much diff from Turner. I'd rather Laveon Bell, Rex Burkhead, Joseph Randle, even Michael Ford, homer or not

If the Falcons are actually interested in bringing in Steven Jackson, it's obviously not going to be cheap. So that brings in to question, along with Turner, who else would be out the door? Dunta Robinson? Brent Grimes? There's more to really consider outside of just getting a replacement back. You can't get a talent like Steven Jackson for pennies on the dollar. You will have to open up the checkbook, and that could hurt your team more than help it.

I know...there are many...I just hate that the Saints have their own board that cannot be trolled and when real football discussion happens over here the trolls and flamers go unpunished...what's the point of a message board if all you're going to do is make baseless flames...just frustrating that we cannot have differing opinions without resorting to douchebaggery

I disagree. Jackson has showed he is extremely durable, and he's still got it. He's one guy where I keep expecting a fall off, but he really never does. Well, at least not a significant one. Who knows, maybe he will fall of this season, but I won't bet against him.

I think "huge" isn't the correct word here.

I'd be willing to meet you in the middle with "decent."

And one of those guys can be drafted in the 4-7 rounds.

SJax is a very versatile back, and is actually a threat to catch the ball unlike Turner.

Be nice for him.

Sad that one of the best backs of this generation was mired in shitty St. Louis for his whole career.

I get what you're saying, man, but I think you are one of the last people who need to be complaining about this. You have trolled Saints fans plenty of times.

Falcons would increase their stranglehold on the NFC South.

Probably not going to be as much as you would think considering his age.

I have almost never posted on Saints talk unless it was legitimate discussion

if c-unit Saints fans swarm to a Falcons in-game thread on MSB then I will call them frickers and treat them like the douches they are

I know this is a Louisiana board but it's for discussion...if a thread is about the Falcons it is impossible for them to keep their dicks in their pants long enough to have an adult discussion
