Why is this all virtue signaling to you? I love sports. I have played and watched them my whole life. Sports help me get away, I form he bs in life and release stress, but I am the one virtue signaling because it saddens me that I can’t just watch sports anymore. I need to be lectured by players, coaches, league admin and freaking sports reporters and commentators at every turn.
I could care less about a player’s politics outside of sports, but if he wants to force it on me when he or she is working then we have a problem and I lose interest.
Many of us are just finding the consequences proving themselves at least a bit relieving on where the world is today.

I only consider it virtue signaling when a poster comes running in a thread that has nothing to do with politics or ratings to tell everyone that they are not watching.
Simply boycotting isn’t virtue signaling. Telling everyone about your boycott is.
That is what I’m talking about and a few weeks ago it was rampant all over the board and it was annoying as frick.
Boycott all you want. I don’t care. Just if people are discussing sports, don’t come running in to let them know that you are not watching because of how virtuous you are.

Except your post history proves otherwise. Half the time the person isn’t even claiming to not be watching but that the ratings are hurting and likely in large part due to the NLM shite.
