Well good for them

IMHO anyone who tries to generically rate one horse as “better” in something as finicky as horse racing is an idiot. Sprinting is a whole different ball game then routing one turn is a whole different game than two turns

But ur uneducated opinion does not change my mind I have watched more than enough races to form my own opinion

That why I just pick favorites. It’s so hard to compare.

If nothing else, medications are so drastically different throughout the generations.

Secretariat's only equal in his sport is Gretzky.

Secretariat had a bigger motor.

I doubt anyone would take another horse over him when it comes to speed and stamina in a life or death situation.

Secretariat just got more oxygen through his body. You wouldn't take a non-doped Tour De France rider over a doped one would you?

Seabiscuit may have died trying.

My grandfather was a boy when Man O War raced. Of course, it wasn't on TV and the "legend" grew because of it. MOW was named Horse of the first half century. My grandfather saw Secretariat's 1973 Triple Crown and Affirmed and Slew just before he died. He loved horse racing and always went on and on about Man O War. I never asked him who he thought was better. Sure wish I could.

The greatest horse races I ever saw were the three between Affirmed and Alydar. It was breathtaking. But Secretariat wasn't even a horse. He was Pegasus!

Man O War...hands down.

He crushed everyone while carrying more weight.

His only non 1st place finish was at Sanford Memorial when they started the race before he was ready and was still turned away from the start line. He still finished 2nd.

And his impact on Bloodlines have been pretty huge.
