Realistically he could probably get 15 billion now, possibly 20.

So Gayle’s two franchises probably have a combined value of more than $10 billion, right?

Puts the Saints out of reach for any one person in Louisiana.

Going to be a VC backed group that buys them then looks to profit by moving them.

That’s bullshite. They had sellout streak and massive season ticket waiting list from 1979 through 1993. The streak ended when new owner Ken Behring destroyed the team and tried to move it to Los Angeles. Seahawks fans were so loud that in 1989 the NFL had rule to penalize the team if the fans were too loud.

Take away the Ken Behring years, and the Seahawks are an elite franchise. The Nordstrom family to this day regrets selling the team to that fool.

No. One common route to be an NFL owner is to first be a minority owner. Khosla became a 49ers minority owner in 2025.

Just funny to me the Seahawks were just sold to a minority owner of a division rival

The Browns owner was a minority owner with the Steelers.

I gotcha. So it’s not like he’s some 49ers guy. He’s just a money guy. Makes sense.

It's amazing how much much sports franchises have exploded in value during our lifetime.

Jerry purchased the Cowboys for $140 million in 1989.

They are without a doubt an elite NFC team. I don’t know how much the conference switch in 2002 contributed to their rise, but it’s been remarkable.

AFC (25 years):
2 Division titles
3 Playoff wins
2 Season w/ 10+ wins

NFC (25 years):
9 Division titles
17 Playoff wins
13 Seasons w/ 10+ wins
4 Conference championships
2 Super Bowl wins
