I'm liking the Howard - Jones combo down low.

Terrence Jones was glossed over on draft day because he wasn't a freshman on that Kentucky team. He can play basketball.

I feel like Marcus Smart is going through the same thing (although he will be drafted higher than Jones).

The Rockets have a big two and lots of great contributors: Parsons, Jones, Lin, Garcia, Casspi, Asik (for now), Beverley.

By the way, Harden has played great defensively the last two games. Maybe something has clicked.

Idk, Parsons is pretty important, especially considering the teams we lost to when he was out. I think Lin coming back will give us a small boost and give us another shooter when Howard, Harden, AND Parsons sit at the same time. Big game coming up though, hopefully we come out ready to play. The 3 day rest is perfect timing before this road trip. Portland and GS back-to-back should be tough, and then the Kings.

Maybe he's realizing that the rest of the league and the NBA world is watching the Rockets this year, and its not like last year with no expectations….we have high expectations and he still needs to solidify himself as a legitimate star in this league on a team that is highly competitive.

That's not why he fell in the draft. He was a high profile recruit who never quite lived up to expectations. There were also concerns about his maturity and if he had a position in the NBA. More than anything, he lacked that alpha dog mentality. Teams tend to not use lottery picks on power forwards whose ceiling is probably just being a good role player.

Kelvin Sampson will be taking over Head Coaching duties tonight. Kevin McHale is missing due to the death of his mother. McHale has been having a hell of a year in his family…prayers to him and his family. Let's win this one for him boys!

I think Dwight can be his own worst enemy.

I hate it when Harden does that shite. He doesn't have to draw a foul every single time dammit.

Decent quarter. Rockets looked meh. Parsons wasn't involved at all, looked like Harden hero ball the entire quarter.

Aldridge is always using his arm to push off.. whether it is on a rebound or like when Harden drove in for that lay-up on the baseline and missed. Aldridge was pushing him out of bounds as he was in the air. No call.

Howard was 6'10" or 6'9" at the draft combine w/o shous iirc. Of course he was 18 then.

Might not work well when it comes to Dwight. Dwight could be going against Scalabrine or Mark Madsen and he'd get called for a foul.
