I'm a VGK fan but I think that they and TB are the two most overpriced teams in the playoffs. You can at least make a case for why TB has those odds. VGK had a nice run when they first got Stone but they've struggled outside of that. They have lots of locals bets and the fact that some people are still riding their wave from last year.

People that live in a city/state where they can legally put money on their team irrationally creates an artificially high spread on that team.

Yes. But that really doesn't have anything to do with this current team. That's like saying these Oilers are great because of Wayne Gretzky. This version of the Bolts hasn't done anything yet to be mentioned in the same breath as the 80s Oilers or 70s Habs. If they want THIS incarnation of the team to go down in history, they need to win the Cup.
No team that has earned 120+ regular season points has won the Cup since the 77-78 Habs. (To be fair, there's only been three -- the Caps twice and the Red Wings twice... and one of those times they went for 131, and lost to the Avs). Edmonton did get to 119 in 84. They won the Cup.
