That's way too low, there's iffy titles in the 30's and some of their titles in the 60's and 70's were obviously split...and they split it with teams they lost to.

Claims 1973 but lost to AP Champ Notre Dame.
Claims 1978 but lost to the Coaches champ USC.
And UCF DID beat the team that beat Bama. That's all they could do. They can't just join another conference mid-season.
