I guess my gripe is that it's a pretty broad rule that gives the umpires a lot of power to penalize a player. And the player basically has no recourse to reverse a suspension, right?
Seems like a system that's ripe for corruption. If an ump wanted to skew the results of a game he could just make this type of a ruling with no oversight. Who is the check on the umpires?

I know how to properly spell it. I have continued to misspell it after my phone autocorrected and I didn’t notice because it triggers your weak minded arse. Focusing on grammatical errors in an argument is the quickest way to admit defeat.

Well the recourse is another issue but the players agreed to this so playing the victim after the fact falls flat.
