Scheffler should start dressing like the guy in that trophy when he plays. Maybe that would be "flashy" enough for some of these guys.

I have a theory about guys like Spieth, Rory, JT, etc. They were billed as the heirs to Tiger and were supposed to be the crew that took the torch, so they put a ton of pressure on themselves and it led to their current state.
They all got married and had kids.

Jack got married had kids and still won
Arnie did too
Tiger did too
Phil did too
That shite is so played out.

Different generation. Dads are far more present these days. And Tiger didn't really adhere to the traditional married life

I think Scottie keeps rolling even after becoming a father.

I could see it, but I could also see that guy being a super dad and trying to be there all the time for his kid(s).
I hope he continues to crush it. I love when a true good guy is dominating in sports.

That par save yesterday was absolutely insane.
They didn't do the angle justice on that PW approach. Was absolutely absurd. Prime tiger stuff with a little Phil.
The LIV fiasco has really put a damper on some generational golf.
If you don't like watching Scottie and think he's boring, I know you're not really watching.

Same.
He has that Tiger/Phil in their primes focus.

As dominate as Scheffler is ..Korda is matching or exceeding him. Between Scheffler Korda and Katie Ledecky.... Not sure who is the must dominate American athlete right now ...

That’s unreal and it’s the kind of stat we only would get from Prime Tiger.

Meh. Scottie probably made more purse money the last 8 days than Jack and Arnie did their entire careers. Combined. It's the wife and kids plus the being worth $100 million + by your late 20s that keeps guys off the range at 6 am for 10 hours a day. There are outliers, certainly, guys that are driven by more than that. Scottie may be one. I hope he is. But to wave off having a family and multi-generational wealth before you turn 30 as not being a factor in how these young guys' games have dropped off is just intellectually dishonest. You know better.

Spieth did say having a kid cut his practice time by 2 to 3 hours a day...
