I did. He couldnt fully beat out Marcus Randall as the starter when he was younger in the program at LSU. Does that make me think any less of him? No.
Booty was wayyyy better than Randall. And back to the original point: That is why Sanchez sat on the bench. He wasnt ready

He was a RS frosh, and Randall had been around longer, while having gained a whole lot of experience in 2002. Russell really took over as a RS soph and never looked back.

huh? no.
i am saying that as an LSU fan i was happy that Booty started for so long b/c that meant meant he would implode a few times per season.
Sanchez was too busy raping girls to beat out Booty. So no, Sanchez should not have started.....unless he transferred to Hawaii.

in 06, Sanchez was a FR.
in 07, he was SOPH

Booty was ALL PAC 10 in 06'. Going into 07, Sanchez was supposed to beat him out? Please. Ya'll are crazy.

Nothing to do with Leinart. I just mentioned him because that is why Booty didnt play earlier.
The whole point of sitting for 3 years means you get time to learn the offense.
Which is why he was immediately named the starter when Leinart left.

Like I said, 2006 had no QB's in the Pac 10. It also helps to have the 2nd best WR in the nation to throw to.
I don't expect him to do that anyway. But I'm not saying he's the best QB in the nation, bar none after 2 games.

just didn't get why everyone was down on a guy who was a top 5 NFL rusher last year, looked healthy in the preseason, and isn't over the hill old quite yet. And Mendenhall is only a rookie, and looked like shite in goal line drills in the preseason.

Bradford didn't need to wait around to perform. He did pretty well as a freshman I believe.
