Yeah there's simply no excuse for that.
The replay does show the ref cake on the field and tried to stop it BUT when they were talking it over someone should have said this won't look good.
The NFL got really lucky that didn't turn into points. Bengals did lose a timeout a couple of plays later

Someone is going to have to provide some strong evidence that the ref making those calls was NOT Kige with some blackface makeup

I am not going to say the refs determined the outcome of the game.. We have all seen the makeup flags refs throw when they miss a call or throw a bad flag.
But I will say that there was some bad ball placement in both games yesterday.. And that bad placement were for 1st downs making it 3rd and 1.
