Saban is in a pinch at QB......Is Tua really gonna sit 3 years behind that garbage?

He's got this guy who, frankly wouldn't start at most schools but is able to start at Bama because NORMALLY, Bama outclasses other teams in terms of personnel.

But the dude is NOT a QB. Bama has been running a glorified wildcat for 2 years.

But the problem he's got is that he has a REAL quarterback that's only 1 year behind Hurts.

No fricking way Hurts is a early draft entrant at QB. So, is Tua really gonna chill on the bench behind that garbage for 3 years to play 1?

You can laugh but the guy can't pass.

He appears as good as he is because the team around him is usually absurdly better than the guys on the other side of the ball.

He'd be REAL human if suddenly he didn't have a team dominating the LOS like he's had.

62% career passer who's lost 2 games.
Please list just the SEC teams you think he wouldn't start for. I'd say maybe Missouri.

Let’s restate this...

If Hurts didn’t have the OL personnel he has, would his numbers look the same?

Dude has no idea what to do with the ball if he doesn’t have airport runways to run through and has to look down the field with pressure.

Probably worse like every quarterback if you gave them a worse O-line.

I'm really glad they don't play Tao. That dude is incredible.

Plays on team that completely physically outclasses 90% of the teams they play.

Still completely inept when he MUST pass.

Exactly. Dude has the vision of Jordan Jefferson when the pocket breaks down.

But my real point is..........the guy behind him IS a real QB.

That dude really going to sit and not transfer for 3 years?

First of all good game to Auburn but I’ve said Tua will start before Hurts graduates. Hurts should switch eventually to what he’ll try to play in the NFL.

He’s gonna be a slot guy or third down back like Braxton Miller or Denard Robinson. It’ll be interesting to see if he switches next year or the year after.

Jalen didn’t lose the game today though. Auburn was better on both sides of the ball on 3rd down and Alabama committed some really dumb penalties. Auburn is a tough place to play so really no embarrassment losing to a good team. They just outplayed us.

I'm just trying to figure out.

Do you really let Tua transfer because you refuse to sit the dude who can't fricking REALLY play Quarterback?

Hell. Why recruit Tua in the first place in that case cause Tua already has to be thinking Transfer.

You’re probably right, but how many quarterbacks in this league are actually good enough to carry the team? It’s certainly less than half.

Guys like Hurts aren’t this unsual. Heck, Bama won a championship with Blake Sims, who was a backup RB prior to moving to QB.

If Tua is better why doesn't he play? Saban hardheaded?

It's pretty rare to sit a starting QB when you have a winning formula and your backup is a True Freshman.

I just wonder if that sticks for 2 more years? Cause, I really don't see how that sticks for 2 more years and Tua stays.

If he’s really that good, Saban will probably platoon them.

If not, he has to sit and wait.

He isn’t better due to experience. He’s got a higher ceiling and is a true QB.

They lost to a team that played better on the road. It happens but Hurts has been in pretty good in general.

I honestly am more concerned at why no RB got more than 6 carries when they all had good yards per carry.

Definitely not:
Missouri - Couldn't run the air raid
Auburn - Stidham is pro material
Georgia - Nah
Ole Miss - See missouri
Arkansas - Doubt he starts over allen
Vandy - No way in hell he could carry the offense
State - Fitz is just a better version of Hurts

Push
LSU- Etling is a game manager but this would come down to what kind of offense you wanted.
South Car - I think he and Bentley are pretty even. His running and Bentley throwing basically cancel out.
Florida - you could make the argument but i don't think anyone would be good in this offense

Would start
Kentucky - They have a very unspectacular QB
Tennessee - He'd start there
A&M - Would actually be a good fit
