Prior to that would you agree that he was NOT viewed as your typical star WR.

Not really. He seemed pretty chirpy, had a funky haircut, and was known to do cool TD celebrations.

I don't think anyone thought he was T.O., but he certainly wasn't treated like Larry Fitzgerald.

First off, this doesn't mean he isn't a hard worker, he is. And I doubt he doesn't care about the team at least a little bit.

But it takes a blind person to not be able to see what type of person he is. He is WAY into himself. And it probably causes him to do spontaneous things that make you think, "Dude get your shite together. We got some team stuff going on."

Who doesn't think he comes of as selfish? It's easy to see. Thanks, Ryan

Although not the same, Jerry Rice garnered somewhat similar criticisms. All I know is AB is a hell of a football player. He may be about himself, but when he's awesome, the Steelers win most of the time.

I mean hes had the best 4 year stretch statistically of any WR in NFL history...

Look at Rice stats from '86-95 (10 years). Rice once average less than 14 yds/ catch in a not friendly pass league. AB never average more than 14 yds/catch in his "best 4 years". Rice averaged 14 TD receptions per year during that span. AB never had a 14 TD reception year in his life. You should stop repeating what these announcers say during games and study your history.
