Harden has an "estimated wins added" of 19.9 this season, which is the highest in the league.

So yeah, he literally has added the most wins to his team this season.

No, it means he literally is at the top of a list that is a 2 factor calculation of PER and minutes played.

Team records when scoring 30+ points

James Harden: 25-4
Russell Westbrook: 15-7

James Harden's great games seem to mean wins for Houston.
Why are you defining great games solely by scoring 30 points?

That's a terrible way to view it, I'm guessing you know that, so not sure why you'd point that out.

If your are going to say "which team would have won less games if this dude wasnt here?" Its westbrook.
IT's like we forgot about that Lebron guy.

Remember when he missed 2 weeks, how'd the Cavs do?

Lebron, Westbrook, and Davis have been the 3 best players in the NBA this season.

Curry and Harden aren't far behind them and have played more games. Definitely deserving of the MVP on both accounts. As a Pelicans fan, I'll say it would be a travesty if AD won(barring an undefeated finish to the season or something).... Just pussed out of too many games with injuries even though he's played the best basketball this year by a pretty large margin.

Let's compare LeBron James to James Harden... they've played virtually identical minutes (36.3 to 36.8).

Pts: LeBron: 25.9 Harden: 27.1

Reb: LeBron: 5.7 Harden: 5.9

Ast: LeBron: 7.3 Harden: 7.0

TS%: LeBron: .580 Harden: .604

Stl: LeBron: 1.5 Harden: 1.9

Blk: LeBron: 0.7 Harden: 0.7

USG%: LeBron: 32.9% Harden 31.1%

Win Shares: LeBron: 8.8 Harden: 13.6

LeBron is a 6'8" 250 pound forward... he SHOULD be grabbing more boards. But he isn't. LeBron has Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving on his team... he SHOULD have more assists... which he does by a slim margin. LeBron SHOULD have more blocks... but he doesn't.

Harden has more points, on better efficiency, while also having a lower usage rate.

Traditional stats AND advanced stats show Harden is having a better season. Plus, Harden's team has a better record, play in the West, and he has less help around him.

To act like Harden hasn't been one of the three best players in the league this year is silly. He is certainly ahead of LeBron...unless you get points for openly sulking and putting forth minimal effort for the first half of the year, then LeBron is da real MVP.
