I'm talking about the year NISH made it all the way to the Championship. The semi game was at Cajun Field. Then for the Championship it was also at Cajun Field vs St. Aug.

I think you are wrong........ I think it was covington at covington.. in the semis. but hey that was a long time ago..

Sadly the last time a New Iberia team played there (cajun field) in a semi-final game they won in a huge upset. Another meaningless stat that has nothing to do with this year.

This guy just posted it on the Semi Matchup thread.

Westgate HC had it moved.

Coach Cook at Notre Dame was also offered the field but turned it down.

Crowley and watch Notre Dame and CHNI.

now.. Don't get me wrong.. but I heard this game was moved to Rayne.

Yes the game is in Rayne. Although we've played half our home games in Rayne this year. So it is not really a big move.

You really think that some Westgate fans don't go to the games because of Llody G.? But they are going to travel 45 minutes to see Westgate?

Westgate fans will go regardless. it is the fans from all of the other area schools that just want to watch a good game that will go to Cajun Field and buy tickets

Doesn't the home team usually take all the money made? Besides the tickets bought at the schools?

no, ticket pre-sales at school are kept, playoff gates at the game are split 50-50

which is why playing at Cajun Field and getting a few extra thousand people that wouldn't go to Porter is so important

fans from the Lafayette area HS, St Martin Parish schools, other Iberia Parish Schools, even Vermilion Parish schools may go to the game and sit on the home side (under the overhang if it is raining) and support Westgate.

Good luck

shaw had no control over the grass at memstsas - in fact the JPSB would probably do exactly opposite of what they wanted....lol

didn't meant to imply that they did

but the field conditions definitely favored Shaw's style of play

by playing on field turf at Cajun Field, the field conditions are negated and could possibly help Westgate. Playing on a muddy field is not to Westgate's advantage, I saw that with my own eyes this season

Just went to watch some high school football

if the LHSAA wanted to be fair the game would be in metairie since rummel was the #1 seed...

It is fair. Westgate already traveled. And Rummel didn't.
