Just a thought, I wonder if this will be the televised game this week? Cajun Field must have a nicer press area than Porter?

Man, all kinds of scenarios.

The only channel I can think of would be Cox 4.

Cox 37 is with the Catholic and WM game.

I think this can benefit both teams. Rummel plays on a field turf at home, so they are use to it. But with Westgate's speed this could help them also.

NO turf.. that killed us when we played at St. Thomas More.

Personally I don't give a shite where this game is played, all I want to see is Rummel in the Dome. I have been waiting the last 8 or 9 years for it.

couple things...
moving the game is entirely up to the Home Team as long as the venue they want to move to meets the requirements to host a 5A playoff games

Westgate doesn't really have a home field advantage, they ride buses to the stadium. Parking is terrible and seating for the visitor's for a semi-final game is inadequate. Having the game at Cajun Field means a lot of potential walkup crowd that wouldn't go to Porter. The two teams keep the money from tickets sold at their schools and split the ticket money sold at the stadium so the extra money would help their program

and finally....it rained a lot yesterday and last night and a muddy field hurts Westgate. With the wet weather expected Friday getting away from Lloyd G Porter and playing on the turf field at Cajun Field will make a big difference

when STM traveled to West Jeff to play Shaw in the 4A State Semi-finals a few years ago the field had grass 3 inches deep and played very slow. Sort of like playing a game at Notre Dame in the Bob Davie era when you couldn't see the tops of the player's shoes because of the grass. This greatly aided Shaw as they were a grind it out on defense, attack on defense team and STM was much more finesse and speed oriented. Westgate is a speed oriented team with a nice big RB but a slow and muddy field hurts them. From what I gather about Rummel they are a defense first, grind it out team that would thrive on a muddy field. So moving the game to Cajun Field and their field turf is a good move.

hunh? in 2007? the last time Westgate played at STM was 2007. STM went to Westgate in 2008 (non-district) and 2009 (district game)

You really think that some Westgate fans don't go to the games because of Llody G.? But they are going to travel 45 minutes to see Westgate?

Doesn't the home team usually take all the money made? Besides the tickets bought at the schools?

shaw had no control over the grass at memstsas - in fact the JPSB would probably do exactly opposite of what they wanted....lol

I'm talking about the year NISH made it all the way to the Championship. The semi game was at Cajun Field. Then for the Championship it was also at Cajun Field vs St. Aug.

Band and parents?

More like 3/4 of the home side was central

You had 1/3 of the home side. The home side has 3 sections. And you were on the right side of the stadium.
