Visited my alma mater as substitute teacher.

BELLE CHASSE, La. -- NFL players often make school visits on their off-days. But New Orleans Saints safety Roman Harper took it to a whole other level on Wednesday, spending the entire day as a substitute teacher at Belle Chasse High School.

I was friends with Roman Harper back in school at Bama.

he is a good dude.

I would freak out if an NFL star was a sub at my school as a kid. very cool experience for those kids.

Sort of unrelated but I saw last weekend on the local news that Jon Kitna is the head coach at waxahachie high school. Seems random.

But the real question is how many teachers slipped him their number?

Wonder if he used his walker or cane to get to the school?

The Friday before the 2009 Arkansas game, Roman Harper came into Copper Top when I was playing, and stayed and listened for a little bit. Ahh, college.

His dad was the coolest teacher at our school. He was in his fifties and he could outrun all the DBs, backwards.
