quote:

In the report, Wojnarowski mentions the Rockets along with the Nets, Pistons, Clippers, Heat and Sixers as teams that have registered interest in acquiring Butler, though whether or not Butler would be amenable to signing a long-term extension with the Rockets (or any of those other teams) will ultimately go a long way toward determining where he lands.

quote:

On Friday, ESPN’s Zach Lowe ran a piece of his own in which he predicted that the Rockets would certainly get involved in the sweepstakes. He floated out a potential trade scenario involving Eric Gordon, P.J. Tucker and a future first round pick as one that at least seems viable.

Butler's play style would not fit in Houston's system. His offensive game is best in an isolation type system.

Bubba JB would be welcome to the organization. We welcome and embrace winners like Jimmy. Plus he is a Houston boy. Trust Daryl will work hard to bring him home bubba. He will work well with Chris. Of course bubba first and foremost we need Hardwn to sign off on the move bubba.

They can compete but Butler would probably put them over the top. I thought adding Carmelo Anthony was basically insignificant in the scheme of things. Butler.... hell yes.

1. Jimmy hasn’t won shite.

2. Knowing someone that has worked alongside Jimmy, he only cares about himself, and himself only.

Sounds like the Rockets are desparate because of the complete shite offseason they have had.

Money cannot be seen as a failure this offseason so must make some move even if it is stupid.

But I thought James told Jimmy he should go be the Alpha on his own team. Now CC is trying to get him anyway? Is there a rift between James and Daryl? Sounds like Daryl might be booking a one way plane ticket out of town if he keeps this up.

If this happens, Butler would immediately be the best player on the Rockets considering cp3 is old, small and injury prone and Harden shrinks in the playoffs.

Yeah a championship contender wanting to acquire one of the best wings in the league definitely smells like desperation

Butler would be an absolutely terrible fit in Houston.
