re: RIP Barry Melrose

I don't often have much use for "celebrities" and rarely get so caught up when they die. But Barry? I watched NHL2night religiously for the length of its run. Loved Barry, and his by-play with Steve Levy, Jon Buccigross, Linda Cohn, and others. He was genuine. A tribute I watched on YT last night said he loved the NHL and he loved the game; he was able to bring his conversation up or down to the level of the person he was talking to, never condescending.

Plus, I loved that he ALWAYS wore a suit and smoked cigars conspicuously.
Rest well, Barry. Eternal Rest grant unto him, O Lord...
