Funny how people knew where he was headed the moment he hit the portal

No tampering in the portal. The schools only reach out once the player has decided to enter.

So is ND just going have a new QB every year?

They seem to want to portal in mediocre QBs from the ACC so perhaps Haynes King is next

You have to remember as well, a lot of these players were recruited in high school and those relationships don't end.
Head coaches and assistants likely already have previous relationships with some of the players they are recruiting out of portal.

Going off his stats from a year with injuries
He’s similar to Josh Allen imo

Gets to play his first game against A&M vs his former coach too

Yeah, he got injured this past year. A healthy Leonard will be very good for ND. Great pickup

And one of the worst gameday head coaches in Power 5. It all evens out.

I am so glad A&M resisted the player hype for Elijah Robinson. Notre Dame can have that great video of the players welcoming Freeman as head coach, but they can't have great decisions in crunch time.

Notre Dame don't care about trying to have a QB for more than one year.

They recruited CJ Carr from MI for 2024 but figured they'd wait to have him ready for 2025.
