College bball refs have been horrible for a good 20 years now. There us absolutely zero consistency. Call it tight one half, let them play second or vice versa. Call every little touch and hand on the back or let the players hack each other down with no fouls called. It's the most inconsistent reffed sport. Theirs actually a site that tracks each ref, which game they reffed and the fouls they dish out. It's pretty eye opening
AU/UGA game today was a great example of the horrible inconsistency on both ends of the floor.
Those guys were awful.
There were numerous touch fouls in the first 8-9 minutes of the game, then they basically stuck the whistles in their pockets for the rest of the half.
Second half was even worse. Rugby match down low on both ends of the floor with no calls, then weird off ball touch fouls, and fouls called when two guys are both going after rebounds, etc...

Don’t care. You can’t rush an official like that. Coaches always demand discipline and yet a lot of them have none.

The fact they went to the monitor to review it and still rolled with it says all need to know.
