My first post was simply pointing out the ridiculous bias that exists in the human polls. That is all.

That is simply not true. USC has never recieved opinion poll inflation. How often were we playing teams ranked higher than us in bowl games that we smoked? Clearly we were underrated not overrated.

LSU was the BCS champs which is made up more than just the coaches poll, so no it's not equal.
you said the AP is trash so then USC's AP title in '03 must be trash also.

Why did USC not bring up the Sagarin Predictor back in 03? hmmm...
USC need to STFU. They were all about style human bias when it was helpful to them and now that everyone realizes how bad as a whole the PAC 10 is, you are trying to use the system that you fought to get rid of to make your team look better. How sad.

Oh come on... as a rule USC plays bowl teams ranked lower in the opinion polls. And year by year it seems to me USC has a substantial opinion poll bonus just for name brand recognition - a bonus that helps a lot in years like 03, 04, 05 when you are fairly in contention (would have been true in 06 as well if you hadn't lost to UCLA I think)
you guys were given a free pass in 2003 with a weak schedule and an inferior bowl opponent... and still given the championship
in 2004 you had such a substantial opinion poll lead pretty much nothing the computer polls could have done would have bumped you out of the championship game... instead it was Auburn that started the year ranked too low and had no chance (would have required OU to play a bad ooc schedule as well as play a good ooc schedule themselves to be the #2 for the NC)
In 2005 the team was tagged as an overwhelming favorite and called one of the best ever before being taken down by a lower ranked Texas team
In 2006 you got Michigan... they were probably the only recent bowl opponent ranked higher right? because USC had just missed going to the NC by losing to UCLA?
In 2007 you got an inferior (and again lower ranked) Illinois team as a bowl opponent - if I were you I'd lobby the Rose Bowl for best available opponent instead of Big 10 available btw
Anyway, getting back to the OP... I dunno wtf is up with you focusing on Alabama's ranking anyway... the we're #3 or 4 argument seems pretty week out of a program like USC

ruffruff is just like rex, he can't help but constantly lie even when everybody knows he is telling lies. He loves to lie about USC and try to make them look better than they are. Can't trust that liar, guy never played ball in his life.

I never lie. And I played HS and Juco Ball, turned down a scholarship to a 1AA Portland st. for personal reasons.
