Skip came out of this a winner. He is getting even more publicity because this keeps getting replayed.
Sherman was an arse and sounded like an idiot the entire time. You want everyone to recognize your accomplishments as an NFL star, but yet you can't hack it when you get negative feedback.
I kinda liked Sherman before this. Now I hope he gets smoked this season. He was completely unprofessional and looked like an absolute child on national TV.

But what bothers me about the reaction to that segment is people saying Richard Sherman "won." Nobody won. Everyone lost. Including ESPN.
bill simmons spot on here.

Skips made a living shite talking everyone else. All he does. "LeBron isn't clutch!!!!!!!" we heard that for like 6 years. I'm glad skip got what he's been dishing out.

Skip's an a-hole and major troll but he basically toyed with Sherman in that clip. It's as if Sherman was trying to get too eloquent and seemed unnatural as hell. Just stick to football and let Skip stick to trolling.

What Sherman told Bayless was not what Bayless has been "dishing out" all these years.
Bayless gives his opinion (however bogus it may be sometimes) on sports. It's his job.
Richard Sherman came onto the show and acted like a child with his feelings hurt. Sherman was unprofessional, immature and idiotic. He brought it to a personal level over someone's opinion that he wasn't the best corner in the NFL.
Sherman's insecurity about himself was exposed severely with the way he handled himself.

I was a fan of him as a player until I saw that super bowl interview thing. Was unfunny and extremely annoying. He thinks he's entertaining and isnt...at all.
BTW I think everything on the show is staged

Disagree. Sherman didn't really make any cogent counter-arguments. He just acted butt-hurt and said "Well I'm better than you." Didn't seek to disprove Skip at all.
Skip's on-screen persona is an act. His intent is to rile the masses. Sherman is the one that got played IMO. I have a lot of experience dealing with narcissistic disorder and Sherman fits it to a T. Cannot handle criticism at all.
Go to the Terrell Suggs/Skip interactions if you want to see how someone really gets the best of Skip. Gotta roll with the punches instead of acting insecure like Sherman did.

Cowherd said the same thing. I listened to it, Sherman didn't own Skip. Sherman looked like a fool. Skip graduated from a very good school, didn't need SPORTS to get into that school. Sherman is one injury away from working in a factory somewhere.
Skip is waaaay more educated. Too bad he didn't say something smart like... "what would you be doing without the NFL." "What was your GPA in college, what are you going to do with your degree after your career is finished," etc.
Sherman is the reason why people talk shite on certain athletes. He'll never be better than Skip Bayless, thank god he can run fast, catch a ball, etc.

this whole thing between them could have been.
But Sherman still comes off as a super annoying attention seeker regardless. He's a good player though, no doubt about that.

I domt see what Sherman would get out of a setup like that

Sherman's response would have been one of the same three lines of bs he was spewing
1) "I let the numbers speak for themselves"
2) "I'm better than you"
3) "You're nothing"
