shite they REALLY want a QB. They're hoping for another Cam Newton. Talk about a risk.. And over-reacting to flashy combine numbers.

They better hope he makes the Pro Bowl because they just traded away potential multiple Pro Bowl help on defense.

quote:

Pro Bowlers this past year and where they were drafted:

1st round - 44 players
2nd round - 10
3rd round - 7
4th round - 5
5th round - 0
6th round - 3
7th round - 2
Undrafted - 8

All but two AFC picks on defense were first-round picks.

I hate to say it but the Flynn-tards on this site don't seem crazy now. I would much rather have traded a #2 for Flynn than give up this type of package for Griffin.

Flynn is a free agent. You just have to give him a huge contract, like the one Kolb got. That's working out really well..

This just put an insane amount of pressure on RGIII

Im a big fan of his but if he has a bad game its "I cant believe they gave up all that for him"

Which is what happened to Ricky Williams

Ricky Williams had emotional problems and a clinically diagnosed anxiety disorder. RG3 will be fine. The Skins haven't had a great young QB since... well, they haven't had one in my lifetime. Great job getting it done and laying the foundation.

Btw, there is talk Indy is secretly targeting RG3 instead of Luck..

Lol no chance. That's almost as dumb as people saying Brady Quinn might go #1 in 2007.

These type of moves are why the Ravens have been more and more popular in Maryland. Basically all of the cities that are midway from Baltimore to DC have switched from the Redskins to the Ravens now. It's only a matter of time before the Ravens become the #1 NFL team in this state. OTOH, I see the Nationals surpassing the Orioles in popularity relatively soon. It's crazy how things have changed over the last 15 years or so. Jack Kent Cooke must be rolling over in his grave.

oyyy, he better pan out. If not, they are ffff-fricked. How far does this set the franchise back if he's a bust? 7 years? a decade?

Even if he's above average they just gave up way too much which will affect that so called franchise regardless imo.

the Ricky Williams comparisons are silly, a franchise QB is far more important than a running back.

It all depends on him, obviously. If he's a legit franchise QB (not Matt Ryan, Sanchez, etc.) then it will be a good deal in retrospect.
