This combined with the growth of the media which has resulted in more "bold" opinions just to gain those viewers/readers.

Revis by a country mile at this point. Lookup the list of WRs he's held below 35 yards receiving this year; it might be the top 10 WRs in the league!

O and Revis was a first round pick, a Freshmen All-American, and a Jim Thorpe semifinalist. You'd have to be living under a rock to not know who the guy was.

Revis is a much better shut down corner, Woodson is a bigger playmaker

Now you get props for locking bitches down and maybe having no picks to show for it.

that's b/c the NFL is now a passing league...the game is totally different than it was 10 years ago...not to mention there are more good to elite QBs in the NFL than their have ever been in the history of the game

Woodson gets burned way too often to be defensive player of the year, but people are looking at the stats more. If you look at Asomugha's stats you would probably not think he was elite. But the best corners hardly get thrown at so they tend to have below average stats. This was Revis' break out year, he wont pick off as many passes next year and then the media will focus on the guys that are making the big plays.

The stat I like most is Revis' 31 PDs compared to Woodson's 18...
