He's fought some health issues for some time now.

Huge loss for the Louisville and Baltimore communities. While he was an icon here who visited regularly and gave back to the community, he and his wife created the Unseld School in Baltimore. And it's a fantastic school.

I can remember my Dad talking about packing into a standing room only gym at Seneca High School to watch him play.

Unseld was the king of crazy stat lines. 12 points, 18 rebounds, 5 assists, numbers like that all the time

Rest In Peace!

Not to mention the bone-jarring screen.

Certainly one of the most unusual stars in Basketball history. Guy at only 6'7 (especially early in his career) more than held is own against Kareem,Wilt, Thurmond, Lanier, Reed, Gilmore , Walton etc.... when grown man basketball was played.

Advanced stats probably won't do him justice.
