I have no dog in this fight, but anyone who thinks that the tackle wasn't blatantly trying to injure the receiver is insanely biased. The defender could have easily just fallen on the receiver. The defender could have used a tombstone piledriver on the receiver and it still wouldn't have been as dirty as what Suggs did against the Steelers last season

So if the receiver is facing the other way, how is this different than the Reggie Bush tackle?

yea that is what stuck out to me the most in all the gifs, was smith going after a guy not involved in the play.
