Sure, Machado may still get his target via one team, but the amount of suitors that will bid on team anchor/rock to build from status, I guarantee the amount to suitors have dropped.

Analysts speculating Sale may be bullpen guy, too. If I'm Cora, I'm bringing in whomever to win me the WS. Price coiled easily go 2 or 2 innings, sale for 3 or 4,then the pen.

I'm gonna crow about it one more time - Eovaldi completely changed the bullpen equation by stretching that game last night. Kimbrel was the only Sox reliever that didn't look fresh as a daisy. The Dodger pen was more taxed than the Sox pen by the long game.
Also, I know I was pissed at ERod for not running on the ground ball, but he was very good tonight. By all rights should've been out of the 6th, and only made one bad pitch. His stuff was good and he was economical with his pitches. Pen should be in good shape tomorrow, but Cora is going to be hard pressed to use Kimbrel at the back end again tomorrow.

I'd keep Sale on longer rest, and as an insurance policy if it has to return home for Gm 6 or a Gm 7..a flame thrower for a revved up fanbase home game if need be.
Plus, the hospital visit, is it a story with more info to come once the season concludes, and the game strategy is removed?

With Price starting, it makes Roberts sit all his lefty hitters again, and Cora knows this.
