People say this because they aren't putting up the huge numbers they did (24 plus) prior to having to share. When one of them is out, they revert to their old playing ways.

Allen, Garnett, and Pierce were all over 30. It's different when your not in your prime.

I don't see much advantage for the Heat there, if any

I'd much rather take a team whose top 3 players are under 30 compared to a 34 year old Kobe, a 38 year old Nash, a 32 year old Pau, and a 33 year old Artest.

Bosh has made second team All-NBA once in his career. Never made first and never made third. He's consistently an All-Star, which is top 25 in the league. It would be interesting to see if WAde could play like a top 10 player again if Lebron ever got injured, but Lebron never gets injured. Now it could've been bc of that knee, but last year, in the regular season and playoffs, Wade did not play like a top 10 player even when Lebron was on the bench.

Well of course you'd take the Heat if you're counting Lebron. I was saying if hypothetically Howard goes to the lakers, then take him and Lebron off their respective teams and you'd be left with supporting casts of

Wade, Bosh, Allen
Kobe, Artest, Pau, Nash

He didn't make first or second team All-NBA. He's right on the cusp but I wouldn't say he's for sure top 10. Lebron, Kobe, Howard, Anthony, Love, Durant, Westbrook, Paul, Rose, Williams, Bynum, Rondo, Parker, Griffin, Nowitzki, Aldridge, Smith. Now I don't think all those players are better than Wade but arguments could be made

Aldridge 2011-12 22 points, 8 rebounds, on 51% shooting
Griffin 2011-12 21 points, 11 rebounds, 55% shooting
Smith 2011-12 19 points,10 rebounds, 46% shooting
Bynum 2011-12 19 points, 12 rebounds 56% shooting
Wade 2011-12 22 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists 50% shooting

This was Wade's worst season since his rookie year.

Do you expect wade to have more rebounds than those guys?

Based on what? Not stats I've just proven that. Not the eye test i watched alot of Heat games and he didn't play like a top ten player, at least not consistently

Name a better shooting guard in the league not named Kobe Bryant

and you proved that his points went down (even though he was shooting 50%) while being injured most of the year and also playing on a team with the MVP who takes 20 shots a game and another All Star who takes about 15 shots a game.

Oh yeah.. and he also posted a PER better than all of the guys you named.. in fact the closest guy on the list you named was still 3 points below him in PER. I'm actually pretty sure he was 3rd in the league in PER behind Lebron and Chris Paul. he is still a top 10 player. Top 5 on the other hand is debatable.. its just hard to show it when you are playing with the #1 player in the world

Even with a down year he was better than Kobe shot 43%,that's pretty bad.

And the notion that you can argue Josh Smith or Griffin over Wade is silly.

If I was the GM of an NBA team I would take Love over Wade all day long.

love is good no doubt but honestly I see him being just like chris bosh.

And dwade vs. kobe is a debatable issue but kobe did have a fricked up wrist all year as well
