So by your logic, if Norwood hits that kick, Levy suddenly morphs into a better coach and instead of a choker becomes clutch?
This is about rating these 4 coaches. and YES Levy Didn't get the job done when it mattered most. BUT I have him behind billick and gruden and ahead of Switzer.

So Marv Levy = Scott Norwood now?

quote:Completely agree. It's a small factor to be weighed among a bunch of other factors. Lazy people like to simply count rings to determine who great QBs or coaches are and it's just stupid and annoying.
I use the winning big games as a tie breaker,
that's how it should be used.

Never said that either. The Bills dominated taht game so I don't blame Norwood so much. BUT now that you mentioned it. The Bills failed worse and worse as the next three SB'S went on.

as a player yes. However, it has nothing to do with determining who was a "great" player when it's all over although it does help.

ADAM STFU.
or what?

Sure, but it's pretty bloody obvious, given the ENTIRE body of work, that Levy is a better coach than Gruden, Billick, and Switzer. Thus, they are not tied, and thus the "rings" argument is invalid
Chucky had the Raiders playing consistantly well and then went to the Bucs where in his first season he took the same team Dungy had not been able to do anything meaningful with and win the Super Bowl. I could have coached Dungy's superbowl winning Colts team to a championship. I feel Gruden is a good coach, not as good as Levy, but definitely worth getting mentioned with him. Billick is decent and Switzer shouldn't even be compared. lol
