Great road trip! Tbh I was kind of scared of the tigers because how we typically fared in Detroit. Glad to see this team turn a new leaf.

I forget who said it, but someone on TD said that if the Rangers are anything better then 5-4 on this road trip then they will set records. And the Rangers were 8-1. They more then likely won't set records, but we may not see another road trip like that, especially when 2 of the series were in places the Rangers have not faired well historically.

I'm the one who said I'll take 6-4 (or even 5-5) over the next 10 games (Detroit, NY, Tampa Bay), and anything better we may want to look at all-time W-L records. This is because my view is that a playoff-contending team needs to break even against other such teams while blasting the teams that aren't contenders.

So far we're above expectations being 3-1 against the team we beat in last year's ALCS (and who some sports writers have picked as the favorite this year over Texas); if you still count Boston as a potential contender we're 5-1 against contenders with six more such games to go.

Oh nice. For some reason I thought an Angels fan said it. Also, what I meant by we may not see another road trip like that, it was the Rangers best ever road trip in franchise history and not only did the offense produce, the pitching was even better. Pretty fun to watch.

Happy to see the Rangers leave town. One tough team.
