I see our boy Drew is pitching well through what 3 starts now?

I watched him every Friday night at Arkansas, still can't believe he made the majors so quick, and is doing this to red hot rangers.

Good kid, great for him.

He pitched well, but for some reason the Rangers lineup craps the bed the first time they face a rookie pitcher. And finally we tied it.

Beautiful curve, I think, to Cabrera. Made him look stupid.

This is insane. Why pitch hit for Murph here? HE has a much better chance of getting a hit than Synder.

So stupid.

I agree. But Coke is a lefty as is Murph, but I think Murph could eek out a hit.

So what? Look at the bench we have? Murph is even better than Gentry in this position.

It's stupid. It's nonsensical. I Don't get it. Every year Murph hits .300. Surely, you can play him every day.

Wash has always had a very classic/saber approach to pinch hitting and pitching and that is try to get the right matchup out there even if it means it isn't your best guy. He was in the heyday of saber-baseball in Oakland and even though Wash is old-school he still took a lot of those ideas with him.

I understand him putting Gentry in for defense. But no one should bat in place of Murphy from off the bench. Just my opinion.
