Mahommes got Brady/palmer ruled on their drive to go ahead with 2 minutes if you want to add to your graphic

But that was the right call by the rule. Also, my only point is if the correct calls are made Brees also had the “winning drive for his team”

Or, it the refs completely miss the offsides like they did with the PI, Brady loses it for his team

I would think you agree as a non troll

We are changing QBs value based on a ref. It’s idiotic

the pats once again executed a terrific gameplan. mahomes had lots of incomplete passes, and the chiefs ground game was ineffective. the pats took away tyreek hill and kelce.

I agree.

Also true if you isolate that. But there were plenty of things called/not called in that game that could’ve made that drive not even nessesary. Same with the saints. I wouldn’t hold either QB to the fire based on the result of the games. Both could’ve played better but both did enough for their teams to win. I don’t think any of the 4 QBs had their best game

I’m not arguing that at all. I’ll argue if you want to downplay how impressive Brady was last week given the circumstance, but I’m not here to make some Brady is better than brees argument based on those two games.

I think the larger issue with the officiating is there is no consistency. We have completely different calls in the regular season and the postseason but even further we get completely different calls in the first half vs the second.

Felt in both games the first halves the refs essentially swallowed their whistles and let them play, the difference was in the Saints game the refs decided to call nothing (multiple facemask penalties missed, the hit you mentioned, the pi obviously) and in the AFC game they started calling everything (Ticky tac PI calls, OPIs) in some drives then in other completely ignoring the same looking plays

Game this past sunday, Brady got ball with 2 minutes, drove and scored with 36(?) seconds left to take lead. Mahomes took that and drove and still got a shortened thrown into end zone before kicking game tying field goal.

I knew Brady would score. Given a flip of the scenario though, Brady does not get same result with the 36 seconds.

The way the Pats run the ball and utilize RBs in their 2 minute drills is just amazing. And most of that has little to nothing to do with Brady.

wasn’t romo mentioning how they were killing plays and checking into runs on the final drive of regulation and the drive in overtime?

i would say that has a little to do with the quarterback. usually the best quarterbacks in the league are the best ones at the line of scrimmage. manning, brady, brees, and rodgers are all alike in this way.

but its easier to swallow your whistle on a judgement call. It's harder with something like offsides or false start. If hes of side or if a lineman moves you call it. Its cut and dry. The only reason you wouldnt call offsides is if you had an interest in the game.

This is good stuff

The entire point is you are judging the qbs not on their play, but due to the results based on 1 good call and 1 horrific call

So you are saying you think Brady is a worse player if they dont correctly call the offsides?

Weird take by you. Never knew you were a Brady hater

Anybody who doesn’t bow down to the alter of Tom Brady being the absolute greatest above all else is dubbed a “hater”.

Nobody who follows football would not want the ball in his hands during the last drive of a game.

This is stupid.

So are we judging QBs by the results only or by how they actually play?

I am just trying to stay consistent here

He played pretty well. The INT's were unlucky. The Dee Ford offsides was lucky. Both can be true and do not necessarily have to lead to any narrative. He didn't have a great game. The amount of clutch throws he made on 3rd downs were undeniable, though and saved the Pats season. If you thought those drives were easy, you need mental help.

Bottom line, he's 41 and he played the QB position this year like he's 41. Consistently mediocre to good with periods of greatness. Over the course of his career, though, he is the GOAT. No questions.

Edelman would just catch a slant route 3 straight plays to get Gostowski into FG range
