So you truly believe Barnes was the single worst Small Forward in the league that year?
Are you completely ignoring defense as well?
Wiggins at the time was a terrible defender and a boneheaded high variance offensive player. Wiggins would not have helped that Warriors team, he’d be sitting late in the fourth or be getting nut punched by Green for stupid play.
Barnes continues to be valuable in todays game cause he can switch 1-4 at a high level and hold his own against the opposing teams best players. In game 7, thanks in part to his D and that switchability that made those Warriors teams so difficult to score against, Lebron was held to 9 - 24 and 1-5 from three. There are not 30 small forwards that season with the ability to slot in and perform at that level AND be more offensively efficient.
Could the Warriors probably still won those chips with, say, Khris Middleton instead? Probably. But you are just arbitrarily moving goal posts, adjusting standards and exaggerating strengths and weaknesses to make your arguments, that’s horseshite

Curry has a ways to go to leap Lebron. Lebron’s combination of accolades, numbers, rings, and longevity keeps him above Curry for now. No person would be taken seriously placing Curry above Lebron on any all time list. Curry probably has made a very strong case for best ever at his position and top 10ish.
Curry is closer to LeBron than LeBron is to best ever.
Both are top 10.

How many players could have done better than 5/32 in the last 3 games?

Currently, he is. As are about 8-9 other guys. But Fanbois get big mad, for some reason. It’s odd.

Tatum stunk it up, most turnovers in a post season without the elite playmaking that usually comes w high turnover players. He is not as good as lebron that is for sure.

I think Steph proved last night he is the best player of this generation!

Not sure on that, Lebron has a strong case between 2nd to 5th all time at this point and Curry probably hovers around 10ish right now.
Who are you placing Curry above out of:
MJ, Lebron, Kareem, Wilt, Russell, Bird, Shaq, Duncan, Magic, Hakeem?
Especially when half his chips he wasn’t the best player on his team.
And one problem I have moving Curry into that group or above any of them, is that besides Magic, who was just average, Curry has largely been a defensive liability or non-impact defender the majority of his career. While all those players have demonstrated elite defensive abilities when needed. Game changing defense when needed. To go with their elite offensive accomplishments.

Chasing around peak Lebron to hold him to pedestrian numbers and able to switch onto Kyrie Irving or Kevin Love?
List me those small forwards that season, please.

Playing against the best defense in the league will do that to a still young scoring wing.
What Tatum does-scoring and defense, doing that against playoff caliber teams, and perhaps most significantly has the stamina to play both ways at a high level for longer periods of time, outweighs LeBrons passing, lack of hustle, guarding 4th option, older legs can do at this point.
That being said, LeBron is pretty close to a top 10 player this year, but by next season a few other guys will pass him and guys like Kawhi return..
But really all bask in Curry’s glory.

What? The Celtics have been too 3 all year and Warriors have been around the middle. GSW stepped it up these last two series, but they aren’t even top 10 this year in defense.

Of those listed I have LeBron below Duncan and Shaq along with the usual suspects.
Wilt and Hakeem for sure are not in my Top 10 tier.
Curry is in the same tier as Shaq

Yeah, when it matters, they kick it up a notch.
Stopped chasing regular season wins.
It’s why they are a dynasty.

And 3 less finals MVPs

GSW was the #2 defense this season guy.

You’re right. I stand corrected.

leFanbois are definitely going to hold on to an award James Worthy, Iggy and Joe Dumars won.
-2020 has an asterisk, as does that FMVP.
Everybody seems to get theirs in the “LeBron era” but none more than Steph.

Lebron, at worst, is the #2 best player ever. It’s not even a debate. I get people on this board hate him for his political shite but really no one is discussing whether Lebron is #2 or not. The only debate is MJ or Lebron for #1
Steph isn’t even top 10 yet. He’s got the same issue Kobe has. Half of his championships were with another guy who was better than him and got
The finals MVPs.
There is no debate that KD was the better player on those GSW teams. That doesn’t mean Steph isn’t technically more important to their system and the offense they run but KD was the unquestionable best player on the GSW those years.
The thing holding Steph back is that he’s a below average defender and he’s not a leader. Draymond is the leader of the GSW. When Draymond doesn’t play or is hurt they go into a slump. That’s a fact. Not an opinion.

How can you not admit LeBron is better than magic?
He has more points, rebounds, finals MVPs, shoots better from 2 and 3, more all defensive teams, more all nba, more all star teams
Shall I go on?
I’d give you Jordan and then maybe Kareem but that’s it

I didn’t read the post before that he replied to. I thought he was comparing Curry and Magic.
