Consummate professional. Very good commentator. Imagine getting deceived by your broadcast partner of 20 years and then have to work 4 more months with them.

What’s the issue? ESPN gave his partner Joe Buck an extension. That’s their right. Joe Buck is a PBP announcer that can work more than just MNF for ESPN.
ESPN didn’t offer Aikman an extension for MNF.
So Troy gets pissy about it? What’s Joe Buck suooosed to do? Not accept an extension unless they also give one to Troy?
This shouldn’t even be news. And nobody needs to be lauded for “doing their job”. Troy Aikman isn’t entitled to be Joe Buck’s partner

What’s insane is Aikman has been paid more than Buck despite less experience in the field with a skillset that’s far more commoditized. What kind of “partner” thinks that’s fair? Shame on Troy
The broadcasting world doesn’t lack for former players with double digit concussions offering shallow color commentary that really starts to dip in quality nearing 60. It’s insane he’s done so well for himself looking back, particularly with the whole gay thing
He has no legitimate gripe with Buck regarding the employees ESPN chooses to work with

You have to be joking. The guy is terrible. He contributes nothing! All he does is repeat what happened. Jackson ran across the middle and Purdy hit him for a gain of 12. Really insightful. He’s horrible and he’s stupid as hell. The guys IQ is probably around 80. There’s a reason Buck deceived him. Because he wants to get away from him!
