Previous "National Champions" Have 10 Players Opt Out

Ten University of Central Florida players, including two projected starters, are opting out for the 2020 season because of concerns around the coronavirus pandemic, coach Josh Heupel said Tuesday.

I wonder if kids are just opting out so they can get an extra year of college paid for.
Since they don't lose a scholarship eligibility year and get to remain on scholarship after opting out while still taking classes and working towards degree, they can get the school to pay for their Masters in year 5 or 6 (redshirt).

I was told only LSU has players opting out and that our program is falling apart. You mean there are others following Chase's lead?
