Clemson isn't going to be a 2 loss conference champ. If Clemson takes a 2nd loss, it'll be Miami in the ACC title game. They aren't losing to FSU, Citadel, or USCe.
And Notre Dame isn't getting in with 2 losses either. Their schedule isn't strong enough to overcome a 2nd loss, especially with other 2 loss contenders having a championship game to add to their resumes.
Clemson lost to Syracuse and has had other problems this year. They can very easily lose in Columbia in a rivalry game at the end of the year.
You're telling me if Notre Dame has 2 losses to Georgia and Stanford and wins over Miami, USC, Michigan State, and North Carolina State they would have a soft resume? Thats better than any other team in the nation.

Stanford isnt that good this year and unranked at the moment. Taking a 2nd loss to end the seasln, one to an unranked team at that, doesnt bode well for playoff chances. Especially when the committee values conference championships and if UGA goes 12-1 with a loss to Bama in the SECCG, then they would likely get a nod over ND even if ND goes 11-1 thanks to the head to head victory in South Bend

I don't think there is any way they would make UGA and Bama play back to back, right?
I feel like they'd make us the 3 seed or drop us altogether in that situation.

If we make the playoff, I'll be banned before the ESPN reveal show is over.

Clemson’s loss to Syracuse should not be forgiven. Sorry. That’s a terrible loss.
QB was hurt for the second half, IIRC.

people penciling in bama on rep not how good they actually are this year

1. Alabama 13-0
2. Clemson 12-1
3. Oklahoma 12-1
Wisconsin doesn't win the Big 10 championship game
Georgia loses to Auburn and loses the SEC title game to finish 11-2
USC beats Washington in Pac 12 title game
Notre Dame beats Miami and somehow loses to Stanford to finish 10-2
4. I don't freaking know - a 2-loss team. If Michigan State is Big Ten Champ then Notre Dame because of head to head? Georgia cause head to head over ND? Not USC because Notre Dame gets the edge because of head to head. eta - Head 2 Head will matter because all 2-loss teams with decent SOS.
I'll say Georgia at 11-2 because h2h win over 10-2 ND, unless Ohio State is a 2-loss Big Ten Champ that just beat a 12-0 Wisconsin. Then Ohio State gets the nod over Georgia because its a conference champion with a marquee win in the last weekend of the year while Georgia lost to Bama
4. Georgia 11-2 unless Ohio State is 11-2 Big Ten Champ with win over 12-0 Wisconsin
2. Clemson 12-1

Penciling in Alabama without seeing what this defense will look like going forward is pretty ridiculous. No injuries at all and I feel comfortable enough that this defense is good enough to take this team to the playoff.
But with what it looks like now, with MSU and Auburn on the road and then UGA....who the hell knows?

1) Winner of Bama/UGA
2) Notre Dame

What? Other than UGA, there is no one at this time that could actually be argued that is better than Bama. And I don't think UGA is better than Bama.

Wrong.
They would have to be in anyone's 4 right now but this thread is about looking forward. I think Clemson, ND, U dub, and maybe even TCU are also all better teams though. Now Bama doesn't have any of them on their schedule so it may not matter but they are as vulnerable as I have seen them in awhile. It's a shame we didn't make the plays that were there to be made.
