Robert Trujillo is (-105) and free money tonight for any bettors out there.

Here's my fight preview: (Yes, I wrote these up. I have a trainer who's the #2 striker in a division and know all the insights)

Wesley “All the Smoke” Drain vs. Ke’ali’i “The Chief” Kanekoa:
(Coin Toss Winner: Kanekoa)

The first match of the night should start with some fireworks as Wesley Drain (-125) takes on Ke’Ali’i Kanekoa (-105) coming off a win at Power Slap 11. Historically the first match on the card has ended in a TKO finish and I wouldn’t expect anything different here.
Wesley Drain comes in as one of the most tenured strikers in the Power Slap promotion as this will be his 11th career match. He also has highlight knockouts over Travis Aragon and Amir Nuriddeen so it wouldn’t shock me to see him do the same in this one.
Prediction: Kanekoa comes in as a small underdog here and I think that should hold true. We saw his chin tested against Brandon Rhodes and he was knocked out by Darren Godfrey in his two previous matches. Drain has the experience and enough power to get the knockout. If Wesley was striking first in this match he would be an even larger favorite here. Take Drain (-125) for an early knockout in this one.

Wes “The Boom” Mena vs. Aaron “The Colossus” Turner:
(Coin Toss Winner: Mena)

Two strikers who are making their way up the Heavyweight rankings square off as Wes Mena (+110) steps in on a short notice to take on Aaron Turner (-140) making his second career Power Slap appearance. Both fighters enter Power Slap 12 with undefeated records.
Mena fills in for James Siekmann which had the potential for a contender spot in the Heavyweight division. We’ve seen Wes in his previous two matches end them early with knockouts, but Turner may be his strongest opponent to date.
Aaron Turner’s first and only match was a big one as he got a knockout over Brian Ellis in a prerecorded match at Power Slap 10. He got away with a flinch in that one, but his power was unquestioned and on display.
Prediction: Dana made sure to stack this card with some knockouts as this one should end just like the first match. We’ve seen Mena get knocked out in a DQ win during Road to the Title 3 so I think that is enough for me to go with Turner by TKO. Turner’s chin will definitely be tested early as Mena will slap first, but he should survive that and get the win by first or second round TKO. Take Turner (-140) as the early betting favorites get another win.

Anthony “Da Kiing” Defrank vs. Reiley “Slap Shady” Montoya:
(Coin Toss Winner: DeFrank)

One of the two Lightweight division matches on the card, Anthony DeFrank (-145) will try and make his case for the #1 contender spot if he can get a win over Reiley Montoya (+115).
Both strikers were last seen on Road to the Title Season 3 as their journeys ended short with knockout losses. Defrank showed some power with his win over Gianni Huerta. He then faced better opponent in Joshua Boisvert and he lost the match that was ended in a 3rd round TKO.
Montoya was last seen receiving one of the worse knockouts from Season 3 when Dakota McGregor laid him flat on his back. Montoya did show some power in his slap in his two matches on the show, but wasn’t able to get the results he wanted.
Prediction: This match will likely end in our first decision of the night. While both strikers are capable of getting the knockout, this one will be determined by the fouls and judges. If the match comes down to a coin flip, give me the underdog, Take Montoya (+115), in this one. This isn’t the strongest best of the night, but if you’re betting total slaps or to go the distance, this one should go all six slaps.

Christapher “KO Chris” Thomas vs. Christopher “Full Metal” Debow:
(Coin Toss Winner: Thomas)

This could arguably be the most anticipated match on the card outside the main event as the “Battle of the Chris’” should give a highlight for social media.
Chris Thomas (-135) returns to the Power Slap stage after taking two brutal from #1 ranked Manny Muniz and current champion Anthony Blackburn. Chris Debow (+105) struggled to make weight in his last match and had to leave Season 3 of Road to the Title.
Debow enters this event with just one win on his record while Thomas has five wins, mostly over early participates in Season 1 Road to the Title. Both strikers will have their chins texted in this one and I’d be surprised if this match makes it to the third round.
Prediction: There’s been a momentum for Chris Debow in the slap community in this one as the reign of Chris Thomas could possibly come to an end with a third straight loss. But I don’t think Debow will have the power to knockout Thomas on the first strike. All Thomas needs is one strike and we almost saw him drop Blackburn in the first round after receiving a slap in the first round. Take Thomas (-135) as he’s got more power, experience and he comes in focused after two straight losses.

Dorian “Disturbing the Peace” Perez vs. Pono “Da Hawaiian Assassin” Pau:
(Coin Toss Winner: Perez)
A match that may have implications on who takes on current champion Damien Dibbell, Dorian Perez (-140) takes on Season 3 Road to the Title upcomer Pona Pau (+110).
Pau broke his hand during the filming of Season 3, and used his left during those matches. But we were able see his power on full display with a knockout on Cooper Housley at Power Slap 11. Dorian is coming off a title match decision loss to Dibbell which showed off both strikers impressive chins.
We’ve only seen one of these strikers get knocked down and that was Pau in his loss to James Siekmann. While the power is there in this match, this has the makings of a three-round decision.
Prediction: This is a tough one to call, Perez has now lost three of his last four matches, but he’s arguably got the best chin in Power Slap. Poa has knockout power and should put on a show win or lose. Take Poa (+110) as this match will likely come down to who’s strike is the cleanest. Dorian has shown in past matches he’s prone to fouls and that’s been the cause of the majority of his losses.

Paige “12 Gauge” VanZant vs. Mikael-Michelle Brown:
(Coin Toss Winner: VanZant)
The face of the women’s flyweight division, Paige VanZant (-190) is back to face Mikael-Michelle Brown (+155). The flyweight women’s division is still growing so there hasn’t been many matches in this division. Plenty of uncertainties when it comes to each opponent, their chins and overall the strengths of each female striker.
Paige is coming off a draw in his match against Chelsea Dodson during Power Slap 9, while Brown one her only match at Power Slap 10. With those uncertainties, one thing is almost certain, this match will likely end up going all three rounds. For those playing total slaps or “to go the distance” add this one to your card.
Prediction: While I think Paige probably gets the win here, her odds at (-190) are just too much to bet on especially when you consider how her last match went with a draw. This one comes down to which striker has putting in the work and keeps her strikes the cleanest. Take VanZant (-190) but use it in a parlay leg with another match.

Robert “The Real Deal” Trujillo vs. Dakota “The Maritime Menace” McGregor:
(Coin Toss Winner: McGregor)
The co-main event features our first ever lightweight championship match. Since Power Slap 1, Robert Trujillo (+115) has been the face of the division and now has his first opponent to challenge for the Power Slap title. Dakota McGregor (-145) was one of the standouts from Season 3 Road to the Title and now gets his chance to show he’s the best at 155lbs.
Trujillo has been more active lately as a coach than he has a striker. His last match was February of 2024 at Power Slap 6 with an impressive knockout on Dallas Marron. Will the layoff impact his performance? I don’t think so, but that’s the biggest question coming into this match.
McGregor definitely has some knockout power as we saw in the Montoya match, but will his chin hold up against Trujillo who’s knocked out three of his last four opponents. McGregor was briefly dazed in his first ever match against Ivan Hernandez. Trujillo will definitely be his smallest opponent to date so he’ll need to adjust lining up his placement.
Prediction: This is my favorite bet of the night. Trujillo should be the favorite in this match, but because McGregor is striking first, the bookmakers are giving him the advantage in the odds. I think Trujilo’s chin will hold on in the first round as he’s taken strikes from Jewel Scott and other opponents and held up nicely. Take Trujillo (+115) and add him to the parlay card if you’re looking nice ticket to cash on Friday night. This match should be over by Round 2, but McGregor could surprise us a bit if he’s worked on his chin since his last match.

Isaih “The Puerto Rican Pretty Boy” Quinones vs. Branden “The Butcher” Bordeaux:
(Coin Toss Winner: Quinones)
The main event features a rematch from Power Slap 10 which ended on a bit of controversy. It’ll be settled this time as Isaih Quinones (-115) defends his belt for the second time against Brand Bordeaux (-115).
Both strikers looked like they had won the previous match knocking down their opponents but ultimately it ended in Isaih getting the win by TKO. I think we should see much of the same in this match, possibly see it go into Round 3 of 5 rounds. Since being knocked out by Russell Rivero in a heavier weight class, Quinones showed a solid chin until his match against Bordeaux.
Prediction: Another coin flip here, but I picked Bordeaux in Power Slap 10 so I’ll stick with him. I think Bordeaux has a slightly better defense and has the power to get the knockout with his power. Take Bordeaux (-115) but don’t rush to the betting counter to make this one. This match is all about who survives like the previous match.

A lot of the matches end in decision after three rounds and nobody gets knocked out.

People watch soccer all the time and care enough to write and bet on it. It's basically the same.

The YouTube deal should be huge for powerslap and good for the bottom line of dana and co.

It’s an interesting concept if you think about it in a different way. It’s basically a medium to sell advertising space. The ridiculousness of it and the highlights get spread across social media and get millions and sometimes hundreds of millions of views across all social media. So the live event might have 100k views but the highlights get way more. Dana brings in influencers that all have many followers and gets them to generate interest and promote the product. I am interested to see if they try and get views up and sell or keep trying to grow it like the ufc. I think they sell.

I just put $200 on it this morning. I have the slips to show it. Turned $25 into $575 on Prize Picks last event.

This shite is way more predictable than NFL or any of the other scripted three letter sports
