Randy Moss is the best WR to play the game.

2007 Patriots are the best NFL team of all time, I don't give a crap if they won the SB or not.

The BCS gets it right most of the time.

Derrick Rose has hit his ceiling. So has Durant.

Lebron is already the second GOAT only to MJ.

Saban is a very good coach, but a niche coach. He doesn't qualify as an all time great in my eyes because of his miserable NFL failure and having to back into the NC twice. Bill Belichick and Jimmy Johnson are both clearly better, coaches Saban will never surpass IMO. And there are many more NFL coaches that could go head to head with a Saban coached team any day of the week.

Let MLB players use PEDs.

Floyd Mayweather is top 5 all time.

The Lakers, Cowboys and Yankees are on TV TOO DAMN MUCH.

I don't think a temper tantrum should be the top NFL story or bigger than the World Series just because that guy plays for a certain team.

Not sure if this has been posted yet but here's mine:

When the playoffs are implemented in CFB, fans will be just as unhappy with the system.

NFL executives are more corrupt, greedy, and out of touch than Congress.

Marino is the best QB to ever play

1/9/12 will be to LSU as the the 1981 NFC Championship game was to the Dallas Cowboys (omgz DECLINE)

Tulane football will be in the top 25 in the next 2-3 years

Big time college football as a product is becoming stale

Muhammed Ali was overrated.

Some of the UFC title fights were fixed.

What I said is that Brees could not be inserted into any system and orchestrate a top 5 offense. Obviously he does under Payton and was able to in SD as well. Brees is an elite, hall of fame QB who would excel anywhere, but the only reason he is a hall of fame level QB IMO is because his talents match perfectly to Payton's system. He wasn't HOF level in SD and the Chargers already were moving to elevate Rivers even before Brees's injury. Brees is a superior QB to Ryan in every way, but if they switched teams, I don't think the Saints would diminish drastically on offense. Ryan may not have won a super bowl, but I think he is good enough to keep the Saints offense humming under Payton.

I am a die hard Saints fan and Brees is the best player in franchise history bar none, but I do believe his level of success is very much dependent on Payton's system (to be sure, this is true of many other QBs in their respective systems).

Fair enough, but I was assuming we are discussing from an American perspective. If I said "Shaquille O'Neal was a much better Center than Yao Ming", that would not have been unpopular for the purposes of this thread, but a larger population in China may have had a collective stroke.

Lebron did a completely acceptable thing leaving Cleveland for Miami. Who else would want to stay in Cleveland alone when you can play with your friends in Miami. Sure "The Decision" was probably dumb but he owed the city of Cleveland nothing. He wasnt even really from there. He gave them 7 solid years and they and everyone else was wrong to hate him for leaving.

Officials are more biased than we realize. Almost to the point of corruption.

1. I love Jay Cutler.
2. Baseball is insanely boring and the regular season is unwatchable.
3. Pete Carroll is the best coach in football, at any level.

Also,
quote:

2. Lebron James is already the second best ever and will probably pass MJ- I don't think people will ever recognize him as better, though, because MJ is sort of a folk legend and ESPN did a good job convincing people that Lebron wasn't clutch, and people will always hang on to that

I completely agree with this.

Unless you live in Ohio, this is a very popular opinion.

I have no strong opinion on LeBron other than he's a really good basketball player. I neither hate nor love LeBron.

I love that the AL and NL have different rules for the DH. Only league where the championship game is actually a battle between two "leagues". The World Series is not only between two teams, but somewhat between two different styles of play.
